Electro Arc Carbide Disintegrator Model HKC

The Model HKC is our most fully equipped heavy-duty carbide disintegration work center. It combines our largest table with a super heavy-duty column and cross-arm support, two-axis motorized head positioning and the finest control system. This model is an excellent choice for high-production manufacturers of larger castings such as diesel engine blocks and heads, and heavy-equipment components.


Standard Features:

• 1295MM (51") wide x 1003MM (39.5") deep cast iron worktop with machine-ground surface and five T-slots to secure your work piece.
• Steel base cabinet of heavy, reinforced frame construction that holds work top 813MM (34") above floor on four heavy-duty rubber wheel casters.
• Disintegration head support system consists of a 1270MM (50") high by 70MM (2-3/4") diameter column and a 712MM (30") long by 57MM (2-1/4") diameter cross arm for solid support. The cross arm rotates 360° around the column, a manual compression lock holds it in position. The head support system is also available in a rugged version with a column 1270MM (50") high by 648MM (4 1/2") diameter, and a 712MM (30") long by 114MM (4 1/2") diameter cross arm for extra support.

Additional Features:

• Compact durable head with 305MM (12") uninterrupted quill travel that makes and breaks an arc 120 times per second. It has a push button remote start, auto depth stop and limit switch. Any conductive material can be used as an electrode but molybdenum tubes are recommended.
