The 2017 Journeyman End Mill Sharpener is a good blend of old and new. The state of the art silent DC drive on the old reliable CUTTERMASTER frame is compatible with all legacy CUTTERMASTER accessories. Easy to set up with the best air spindle on the market.
This is the bare machine and comes complete with collets and an aluminum oxide grinding wheel – everything you need to get started grinding ends and flutes. We recommend one or two of our resin bond CBN (for high speed steel tools) and diamond (for carbide) cup wheels to upgrade your sharpening system. Choose a Production Support Package which is a great deal on resin bond cup wheels, wheel truing device, countersink and step drill cams and a plated face wheel.
The Patented Multi-Axis, Torque Compensating DC Motor Head with whisper drive helps to eliminate tool burning (and you can hear what you’re doing).
Journeyman Operations:
- Grind ends and flutes (primary and secondary grinds) 1/8" to 2" diameter
- Grind corner radiuses: bull nose and ball nose, primary and secondary grinds
- Reduce the neck diameter of your tools
- Cut off your tools
- Grind Weldon flats in your tools (grind set screw flat on carbide end mill shank)
- End gash your tools
- Grind annular cutters
- Cylinder grind small rounds
- Grind countersinks, step drills, hoggers, finishers, and reamers
