• The Nitro 118° Split Point S&D drill with Nitride Surface treatment, that gives hard, protective layer to the drill (increases hardness without increasing brittleness)m which is measurably harder than high speed steel.
• The 118° split point reduces thrust and eliminates walking at the drill point.
• HSS-High Speed Steel: Economical choice for general applications in most materials including steel, Cast iron & forgings.
• Cobalt: Better than High Speed Steel, they hold their hardness at much higher temperatures & are well suited for harder to machine materials & stainless steels.
• Black & Gold Finish: The gold finish makes the flutes slick & held evacuate the chips.
