- Used for absorbing petroleum-based fluids.
- Standard and dimpled melt blown polypropylene sorbents are typically used to skim oil off water.
- Their fibrous textures draw hydrocarbon-based fluids into the center of the pad while repelling water.
- These sorbents are untreated (no additional chemical additives). Untreated polypropylene is hydrophobic, it repels water and adsorbs oil.
