Rockford 8" Rigid-Arm Magnetic Base 6"x8" Flat Chip Shield - CBS1C1
These magnetic base chip shields can be used on lathes, small milling machines, drills, grinders, band saws, etc. These shields can be attached to any ferrous surface on the machine by an 80-lb. pull magnetic base. If a flat, smooth, ferrous surface is not available, a mounting plate (3 1/2″ x 4 5/8″) is also furnished. Large polypropylene plastic handles are used for easy positioning and locking.
The transparent portion of the chip shield is constructed of high-impact-resistant, 3/16″-thick clear poly-carbonate material. It is furnished with a circular base which measures 3 1/4″ in diameter. An 8″ aluminum base extrusion is provided and attaches to the magnetic base. Also available is a 12″ extruded-aluminum arm extension. This arm can be cut to a shorter length if required for your application.
