Reduces vibration and chatter

Surface Treatments:

TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride)

For stainless steel, medium hard ferrous and nonferrous materials
Extends tool life
Has excellent lubricity and prevents "edge build-up"
Provides excellent heat and wear resistance
Provides an ability to increase machine speeds by 35 to 50% vs uncoated tools

AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride)

Recommended for difficult to machine materials
Used for aggressive machining of aircraft/aerospace materials, stainless steels, high alloy carbon steels, nickel based high-temperature alloys and titanium alloys. Also used in dry machining of cast irons, nodular iron and selected carbon steel.
Extremely hard, wear resistant
Provides increase of 75 to 100% in machining speeds vs uncoated tools
