Titan Macolaepp Boron Carbide Polishing Paste, 120 Grit 75 Gram Tube - BCP-120

MACOLAEPP® Paste is a boron carbide oil soluble polishing paste that is a high-performance abrasive with a hard- ness and chemical resistance comparable to that of diamond, it is a 9.5 on the Mohs Scale. Boron Carbide is ideally suited for the machining of hard materials by:

Lapping - Easily permits the surface machining of wear-resistant hard metals and ceramics.

Wire sawing - With its extreme hardness, it is ideally suited for wire sawing of oxidic and non-oxidic ceramics and sapphire.

Ultrasonic boring - Suitable for boring almost any desired profile of hard and brittle materials.

The paste can quite easily be loaded on all cast iron or brass lapp wheels as well as wooden dowel pins for the lap- ping of holes. It can also be used with felt bobs or mounted brushes for mold polishing. The lapping compound must be diluted with oil or turpentine in ratios of 1:5 to 1:100.
