HR-600 Series High-End CNC Rockwell Hardness Testing Machines

The new motorized Z-axis moveable head HR-610 Type A, HR-620 Type A and HR-620 Type B model Rockwell/Rockwell Superficial and Light Force Brinell hardness testers provide more capacity, flexibility and options than standard rigid frame testers. The Type A models feature the new color touch screen controller with four different display options, improved statistics with graphing and output functions. Type B can be controlled by either a display, PC or both.

The hardness testers can perform all standard Rockwell tests including ASTM D785 Part A and B, Light Force Brinell Hardness tests from 6.25 kgf to 187.5kgf, and the HBT test method. The HR-620 can also do the HVT hardness test as well the 250kgf test force. To achieve this high accuracy testing, the HR-600 Series uses a floating surface contactor which may not be compatible with smaller work pieces. Requirements are in the specification sheets.

The Type B tester includes a motorized Y-axis table with optional X-axis and can utilize the latest version 3.0 of AVPak which allows computer programming of stage positioning and can also utilize our FormEio to operate external PLC equipment such as a robotic cell.

The HR-600 Series combines the functionality of two previous models: one for Rockwell hardness testing and the other for Light Force Brinell hardness testing. Supporting both test types on a single machine, this new series expands the range of available measurements. With its high-resolution scale load cell developed uniquely by Mitutoyo that allows for high-precision test load feedback control and state-of-the-art design that delivers both aesthetics and usability on the ground, the new HR-600 Series enables hardness testing that defies conventional thinking.
